ISTJ, Inspector

After taking the Myers-Briggs test, the result that i had gotten about my personality type was that i am a ISTJ type, which means that i am Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging. I predicted that my personality would be INTJ. For the most part, I had predicted correctly. The only part that I had gotten wrong, regarding my personality, was if i whether i was a intuition or sensing person. Sensing and Intuition are mental processes. Sensing is a mental perception that relies more on clear, tangible, data and information that fits well with the situation at hand. On the other hand, intuition is more abstract. It has a more big picture outlook and it is more imaginative. So i guess i would agree with the test when they say that i have a sensing personality trait because personally, i think i do rely on factual information and data.

I think that this test was really accurate in describing the kind of personality i have, it also gave a list of careers that would suit and fit my personality. But I don't think I want a personality test to dictate or guide the choices i make in my life. I do agree with the Myers-Briggs personality test and the results i got regarding my personality, but i don't think personality is a heavy enough factor in deciding what career you should choose. There are other factors that should be taken into consideration before choosing a career such as knowledge, skills, talents, preferences, and etc... I don't think that personality is a heavy enough factor to judge by itself what career should be chosen. I think that it is also a greatly composed test that asks fair enough questions.
My experience with this test is that through the tests and results of the test i was able to respect it and consider it to be accurate with it. I think i am really content after taking the test because it was very candid and gave me an insight in to the the type of person i am. I think it really taught me on what kind of personality i have and what that is supposed to mean. But i think i was a little surprised with the list of careers that would have went this personality. Accounting was one of the few that were on the list, even though i might be good at math, i do not like it personally. Whenever i picture accounting, i kind of see it as being dreary and boring. So i was kind of surprised to find it on this list, the only way i would think of it as a career is if my imagination of accounting were proved to be wrong. This is my feelings and experiences with the Myers-Briggs Personality test.
